B61 — Connecting Multiplication to Division Using the Array

Problem Strings for Fluency and Beyond · Connecting Multiplication to Division using the Array

Teacher notes

These next few problems have been designed to continue to encourage students’ use of multiplication facts to solve division facts that are not yet automatic. Continue using graph paper arrays to represent students’ strategies for these problems. Turn the array as needed to show commutativity and to keep the divisor showing rows. Cut pieces off as you proceed to show the equivalence.
